Bonaire is a high-rise residential development located within the close textured framework of streets running parallel to the waterfront and enjoys a commanding view over Aberdeen Harbour. The 24 level building includes street level retail, residential club, and 106 residential units. The social focus of the development is the gym, spa lounge and outdoor terraces. SCENIC’s brief was create series of outdoor rooms for the modern pursuit of wellness and tranquil relaxation. These are linked to the communal club both with specific functions and multi-use flexible spaces. A combination of planting and decorative screens were used to form the walls of these outdoor rooms and water features to mask the sounds of the streets beyond. The design language is contemporary with the materials being used define space and character.
