The new three storey Annex Building is designed to provide much needed office space, unique academic spaces and conference facilities for the University of Hong Kong Faculty of Medicine. The smooth circular form of the building will become an iconic feature for the school complementing the architectural language of the existing buildings. The proposed 2/F landscape, through the creation of a series of outdoor rooms, provides opportunities for an exterior teaching environment, blurring the distinction between interior and exterior space; and allowing for serendipitous meetings and interaction. The landscape creates an enjoyable and relaxing environment for both students and staff.
