SCENIC were responsible for the monitoring of the condition of the large trees located at the Former Marine Police Headquarters (1881 Heritage) employing a specialist landscape contractor and an ISA Certified Arborist to undertake the maintenance and tree surgery works.  Our role included the preparation of monthly monitoring reports, monitoring soil nutrients with comprehensive soil testing and soil moisture through the use of tensiometers;  preparation of detailed pruning proposals,  recommendations for the  maintenance and improvement of soil health and undertaking government liaison and  preparation of government submissions. The team at SCENIC have an intimate knowledge of the trees through Chris’ involvement in the redevelopment of the FMPHQ and the design of the tree preservation and protection measures during the construction phase prior to the formation of the practice.
